About Dr. Horwitz
Compassionate Care for Every Stage of Life
With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Horwitz provides thoughtful, individualized care for children, adolescents, and adults. As a psychotherapist, I seek to create a safe and supportive environment in which clients can explore thoughts and feelings about important areas of their lives that may not be working as well as they had hoped or planned.
Adults often address major life changes, anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, and substance misuse. I also work with adolescents and families facing challenges together in a safe, structured therapeutic environment, as well as students struggling with learning and executive-functioning difficulties and associated problems with self-esteem.
My work is collaborative and is informed by many years of experience with people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. My goal is to help clients clarify their understanding of their lives, reduce unnecessary suffering, strengthen important relationships, and move toward more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Out-of-Network Provider
Dr. Horwitz has been an Anthem & Blue Cross/Blue Shield and TriCare OON provider for the past decade. For clients with another insurer such as United Health Care, OON or out-of-network benefits may be applicable. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that may reimburse a portion of session fees. Upon request, a superbill (itemized receipt) will be provided for you to submit directly to your insurance company.
Sliding Scale Availability
A limited number of sliding scale slots are available for clients who demonstrate financial need. Fees are adjusted on a case-by-case basis based on income and household size. Please inquire directly to learn about current availability.
